Black Cottonwood Bud salve, sometimes also known as Balm of Gilead may help soothe: swelling, inflammation, bruises, bites and chapped skin. May also help prevent infection, and promote rapid skin cell regeneration. Energetically calming, helping to transform chaotic energies, with a sweet, mild aroma. Folk preparation.

INGREDIENTS:
Organic extra virgin olive oil (single source), infused with:
Black Cottonwood buds (wildcrafted)
Organic beeswax (locally sourced - Humble Bee Beeswax)
Vitamin E (vegan)

PRODUCT NOTE:
Please note that this is a small batch, slow craft, handmade product that may have variations in color or texture between one batch and the next. There are no extra preservatives or stabilizers. This product is shelf stable and can last up to 6 months or longer if kept in a cool, temperature controlled place. If exposed to excessive or high heat (i.e. left in the sun or a hot car), it will liquify. In that case, simply put it in a cool, dark place, or refrigerate it to solidify.

Use clean hands to apply. Store in a cool, dry place. For best freshness, use within 12 months.

Contraindications: Because cottonwood contains salicylic acid, people who have allergies to salicylic acid should avoid using it. Not indicated for use if you are pregnant or nursing.
